removing scratches from new stainless cooker hob?

hi, just refitted my kitchen with and put a new stainless cooker in but while doing other work bits of plaster and grit have got on the hob and when its been cleaned its left little scratches on it cant really see them in the day just at night with the light on, whats the best way to remove these?

If the scratches are faint leave them alone..If they are deep, use fine wet or dry paper (use it dry) get a block of wood wrap wet or dry around it (like sanding block) & wipe the bloke in 1 direction only keeping it straight. This is how we used to make decorative brushed s/s.

if they are faint get some valve grinding paste from a motorist shop.
