there is probably a topic on this subject but i cant seem to find it so i amlooking for some help. years ago when wood chip wall paper was the in thing i papered the landing and the bed rooms with wood chip and painterd it with vinyl silk emulsion it was called semi gloss emulsion then as when the kids were small they could not damage it too easily and if they marked it it was easy to keep clean but now there is only me and my wife here and it is getting on our nerves looking at it .i tried scraping it but i might as well be hissing against the wind :D and also wetting it but it does nothing to it is there an easy way to get this horrible paper off the walls

The best approach is to use a steam stripper. I've just removed a lot of over-painted woodchip paper with my steam stripper and while it's not as easy to remove as ordinary paper, it comes off a lot quicker than just wetting and scraping.
