hi there

please bare with me.. rendering is not exactly in my comfort zone....

I live in a mid terraced house, with a small lean to type thing on the back.... the lean to has been rendered.. recently it would appear that moisture is getting through the brick work as mould has started to appear on the walls... I have looked at the rendering and to be honest.. its always looked like it was put on with a tea spoon, but it has started cracking and looks like its blown off the wall in places...

I am going to look into getting it re-rendered and as its only a small space i dont anticipate it costing mega bucks... but my concern is... our neighbour also has their lean to rendered and as such the render is somewhat connected. Will there be an issue in cutting down the render where our house joins theres and having ours replaced?

And finally.. does anyone have any recommended people in the Cannock,Staffs area to undertake the job?

Many thanks

Dougie

Fit a straight edge, something like a batten screwed, where you need to cut through then cut with an angle grinder, a small one will probably do.
Fit a stop bead tight to neighbours render then rerender yours.
You can run a mastic bead down if required.
