Hi,

I am not very handy at all so looking for some advice.

My decking around 16 lengths of about 3m is rotting in places. Joists look ok.

Firstly do I repair this by only replacing some or replace the whole lot?

Managed to get one piece up near the handrail and obviously screws must goes through the base of the handrail into the decking.

Any tips on approaching this?

Please help :)

Depends on your budget

I would replace all boards , you will need as you know to remove the handrails to gain access (are they nailed down? Looks like it to me)

Once the boards are up , keep good ones to use as a template to cut the new boards , especially the one next to the step and don't forget to check the joists to make sure they are sound

If the joists are sound , I would protect them whilst you can so they last a few more years

Sorry just seen this.

Thanks for your help. I'll have a go at getting all of the boards up soon.
