Replace a Towerstat RS with a DT92E

Please can anyone help. I am trying to replace a Towerstat RS with a DT92E I have replaced three Towerstat RS thermostats with a DT90E and did not use the wire from terminal 4 on the Towerstat RS.
On the Towerstat RS I have three wires they are wired as follows
terminal 4 Switch
terminal 3 Neutral
terminal 2 Not used
terminal 1 Live

Any pointers please.

You would not have used the wire on terminal 4 of the Towerstat on a DT90 because that is the neutral. I think you have got your designations wrong. See http://www.tfc-group.co.uk/assets/graphics/static/RS RCS RFS User instructions.pdf

For the DT92, look at page 6, diagrams a. & c. at the link below, which show you how to connect three wires, Live, Neutral and switched live, depending on the type of system:
