Hi

I currently have a pull cord vent in my kitchen double glazing.

To reduce the levels of condensation in the kitchen I would like to replace it with a vent-axia humidistat fan.

Is it possible / safe to replace the vent with a powered fan? I'd rather not start drilling holes in the wall.

Cheers

Thanks for the quick reply.

So there is no reason not to replace it with a fan if the hole sizes match?

Provided there is a suitable power supply adjacent. Don't like humistat fans , fan needs to run whenever you cook, by the time the stat is activated you already have a steamy room.

Would you just recommend a fan with an on/off switch?

I have a power supply that i can use.

Yes, use the fan whenever the room is occupied, though an extractor fan over the oven is more efficient.
