Could be an air lock... run the heating system and close all radiators that get hot... hot water should be forced to a cold radiator... don't shut ALL radiators though as hot water will have no where to go... bleed radiators as they heat up... check there are no blockages at the bottom of your F&E tank... mice birds crap! A system cleanser is always worth adding before draining (left running for couple of days) to remove sludge etc that can accumulate in a system if it has not been drained in a while.

:D ?

... oh and there should be some sort of thumb vent or automatic vent on hot water side of system. Get the heating side sorted and then put the hot water on only... should force water through water circuit.

good luck
