Decided to try and move from a V4044 Diverter to a V4073 mid-position valve (also replace the controller at the same time).

I cant just replace the head without draining as I dont have the version with the pimple. Its very old.

Current one is 4044C1098 which is 3/4" BSP according to honeywell. Mostly I see the 22mm version of the 4073A in the shops.

Can I still use the head from a new 22mm V4073 and drain the system? Or do I need to replace the whole thing?

If I cant use the head from a 22mm 4073 I'll have to track down the 3/4"BSP verison.

Hope that made sense!
Thanks
Alan
