Hi Everybody,

We have bought a house which has an existing extension for the kitchen, single story (3mx2m).

As its only 3m wide there is dead space on either side... so we were wondering what the possibility would be to knock it down and rebuild to to roughly 5.5mx2.5m.

I see from previous threads on here that the avg cost would be £1200 pwe sqm......but would I be right in thinking that the cost would go down substantially as we would not be digging the foundation from scratch??

Also as we would be doing it ourselves and not getting tradesmen (lots of builders in the extended family) what would an average price per sqm be for this sort of extension???

Thank you !
