Hello,

I would like to replace a plastic bottle trap under a corner wall mounted basin with a new chrome trap as shown in the picture.

Not sure if it would be better/easiest to replace just the bottle trap itself or replace the first part of the waste pipe and even the elbow joint with chrome fittings as well?

As the pipe work is exposed I intend to paint any remaining white plastic in the navy wall colour rather than boxing any in just for ease.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers

If your changing the pipe you will need a mcalpine compression elbow. They are quite big an bulky so might not look great.

Thanks for the advice.

Yep might well try to replace it all as it will be on show - if all the chrome isn't too pricey!
