When detaching the car battery to reset the ECU on my mark 6 Fiesta.........Am i better doing this when engine is cold or when engine is hot????
So my question is .......Is it best to reset from cold or after it is warmed up?

I had a Ford last year and i reset mine when cold, to be honest, i'm not sure that it really matters because the ecu will have to relearn a lot of its settings once you go for a drive, during the drive the car may seem a bit different untill it settles down. Another tip when disconnecting the battery, stand on the brake pedal or leave the door open to get rid of any residue current left in the system ;)

Don't know if it is the same for your car, some fords (mondeo mk3) need the electric windows reset after the battery has beed disconnected. The stereo will also need the keycode entered.
