Do you have to clearcoat 2k acrylic (solid colours)?

The reason I don't want to clearcoat is that it makes future repairs/paint resto tricky - if i get a stonechip with no laquer, I just dab some paint on, let it dry and rub it smooth with G3

Q: Do I have to clear coat your enamel paint?

A: No, it is not required. Unlike urethane two stage paint jobs, acrylic enamel auto paints dry to a gloss finish by themselves. However, for ultra high gloss and scratch protection we do recommend clear coating the complete paint job.
