2.5mm cable for mains
6mm for oven
earth cable
earth clamps
earth sleeving
junction boxes
sockets, switches and backboxes
Capping to go over cable
Light pendants

Have I missed anything?

Two things.

1) Some of these items are not trivial to specify correctly.

2)The fact that it will be more expensive if you supply the materials.

Let your electrician get it all - he'll be paying less than you'll be able to manage to get them for and he won't get the wrong stuff.

Three core & earth cable - 25mm meter tails.
SDS plus drill and assorted tools.

Contact with your Local Authority Building Control.

Oh and a Tester ;)
 
Do you think you can get materials cheaper than (s)he can? If you supply the materials then the sparky is under no obligation to help you with them if there is a problem with any of them.

What kind of electrician requires his customers to work out what materials he'll need to do the job?

Is he wrapped in a lot of bandages?

Does he have a series of long holidays planned for the near future?
 
He is going to complete the work in between deliveries :D
