Hi,
I have just removed a cracked shower tray and as expected found rotten floorboards underneath. Have pulled out all of the floorboards under where the tray was but some of the damaged floorboards reach under the wall and are difficult to get to.

My question is, do I need to get all of the damp floorboards out of there, i.e. will they do any harm or will they just dry out and become redundant if I leave them? They are not supporting anything and I intend building a frame to support the new shower tray.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
