On my double stainless steel sink in the kitchen I saw loads of water onderneath in the cupboard etc. It seems the waste has come detached from the sink. It looks like it was a rubber fitment glued round the hole in the sink.
Question is what to use to reattch it etc

Many thanks for any help

Chris

Chances are, the central screw of the waste has corroded through....common enough!
Have a look at Homebase, part number 447611 for a replacement.

Exactly right! Many thanks, I will clean it all up and get a replacement screw.

Thanks again

You may be lucky extracting the old screw, but there again, you may not....
Either way, you'll need a heavy bead of silicone between the drain rose and the sink, pass the rose through, and then back on with the thick rubber washer....more silicone here does no harm but it shouldn't really be needed.
It'll be unbelievably grotty in there!
John :)
