Hello

Yesterday I took a shower and the pump didnt come on. I put up with the poor flow and tonight took off the bath panel to reveal the Salamander Right RSP45 pump.

The supply and fuse are good. On starting the shower a buzz can be heard from the pump but it does not start. The body of the pump got very hot.

My questions are:

Is the pump likely to have melted itself, or is it protected?
If I'm not shopping for a new pump what should I look for to get it going again?

The hot water tank is approx 1meter above the pump and the cold tank 3 meters above.

Many thanks.

Could be the incoming hot water is to hot and tripping the pump, have a look what lights are showing on the lcd and call Salamander, there tech team are really helpful and will talk you through resetting etc.

Check what your cylinder stat is set at, should not be over 60 degrees. If it is this could be the cause of the problem.

No LED's on this model of pump. The incoming water is cooler than usual if anything as I reduced the time my hot water is on for recently.

I can hear it trying to start but there is no action.

Any ideas?
