Hi,
We've had the whole of our house replastered (a mixture of skimming and dry lining and the bar plaster is between 5-10 months old).
We are currently preping it for painting and have sanded the bare plaster walls on the 1st floor. Reading some posts here it says you shouldn't do that as it causes scratching. As we have already done this what is our best bet to get a good finsih. Is it just paint the mist coat and then de nib?
Also as the whole house has been renovated dust is everywhere no matter how much we hoover and clean. how is it best to ensure the walls are free from dust before painting the mist coat - is it using a damp cloth? Or do you not bother?
Looking at past posts, on the ground floor rather than sand we should user a scraper. Is this a scrapper like a wallpaper stripping knife or a scraper?
