Im installing a Satellite Cable for a friend tomorrow who will be charging it to his landlord.

Having not done a Satellite run before i was wondering what you would charge for the job?

Also would you recommend using R6 cable even though its slightly more expensive?

Cheers

Twin for Sky + or single for standard box !

Your charging for work and asking how much to charge (because you haven't done the work before), morally that seems sort of wrong.

a) you haven't done the work before
b) your material costs won't be trade rates
c) your expecting someone else to pay for you not being 100% pro

Price wise I'd suggest you base it on labour + material costs, Sky engineers charge about £75 a position twin cable.

What are you doing the cable make of with, have you some Sky plugs and the necessary crimper, or are you supply a face plate and a pre made lead between the faceplate and box ?
