I'm curious!

I have a BMC Wolf electric Machines brand, very similar to this.

It does not work well. The bottom of the spindle rotates forward but in my opinion, the spindle bottom should rotate towards the collector box at the rear so the moss and any lawn clippings are thrown into the collector.

There's a vent underneath for the motor at the front of the body to blow air out downwards. The blown air would be better directed towards the collector box to help push that scarified from the lawn into it.

Comments please.

All I can say here is that the tines that rotate have a curved steel wire finger that scrapes into the grass, and on some machines you have to pull them backwards. This should hurl the debris into the box.
Either way, you end up with a mountain of moss!

I made a small cowling out of plastic to direct the motor's vented air towards the collector box so its somewhat improved.
