Sealing skirting boards

Hiya,

Removed my skirting boards and fitted a laminate floor, refitted the skirts, should I seal the top and bottom of the skirts please? What’s the best light oak coloured product please.

I'm planning to do mine (ground floor, have spotted a moth crawl underneath, and spiders keep appearing).
Was going to use clear silicon.

I left mine clear to allow an airflow under the floor, so it's up to you, i guess.

Would unsealed skirting boards reduce or increase total airflow in the subfloor?
