Hi there,

I need to use some gripfill to secure some small LED lights into thermalite bricks. The gripfill recommends to seal porous surfaces first with a suitable sealer, to which I bought some PVA.

I mixed 1 part PVA to 5 parts water and brushed the solution over the required areas on the thermalite bricks. But do I need to apply another coat or can I just go ahead and use the gripfill after sealing it once?

I'm just worried the gripfill wont stick very well.

Thanks in advance.

Another coat of pva/sealer wont do any harm Mk2. Just make sure the surface is completely dry before you use the Gripfill. The adhesive that I like to use is "Sticks Like Sh*t" made by Evo-Stik. You can even use it in wet areas/out in the rain etc... Great stuff!

Roughcaster.

I agree with roughcaster about the "Sticks Like Sh*t" Its a bit dearer but probably the best adhesive on the market....
