self adhesive floor tiles

I need to lay some self adhesive floor tiles on a concrete floor.Is there any specific prep I should do? Any other tips?

Need more details on type of flooring material, are they vinyl tiles?

If vinyl you will need to lay hardboard or ply (ply is better), fix firmly to concrete then self adhesive tiles are easy to lay, follow the instructions.

pretty sure they're vinyl - it's for a friend and I haven't seen them yet.

If so can they be laid directly onto the concrete if it's primed with PVA?

THe instructions will say lay on hardboard or ply. It needs a smooth surface
