This smell only comes when the hot water is run for the bath. It is most evident in a separate compartment containing the combi boiler. The plans indicate a Durgo valve, but I have been into the attic where the SVP goes up, but cannot find it, here or anywhere else. But it is clear that the smell is not coming from the bath or basin drains, or the toilet. And why should it be associated with running a lot of hot water? (The combi, eg for central heating, does not do it without running hot water).

heeelllooo and welcome rogerlutra :D :D :D

assuming the plug is in running water will make no difference to the waste as they are completely separate
do you have an open header tank maybe a creature has drowned and contaminated the hot water

Is it sewage or is it actually chlorine you are smelling. If the latter then there may be excessive chlorine in the water which is "boiling out" when the water is heated. Try collecting some water in a tall glass from the hot tap when it is flowing - is it milky due to zillions of tiny bubbles rising out, which clears after a few seconds. If so does this gas smell of chlorine or sewage.

Thought of dead animal (which happened to my mother: eventually mouse skeloton came out of tap!) but now we have a combi boiler, there's no header tank.
