Bit of a problem with the installation of an extractor fan in a shower room. Low ceiling height, just 2.00 metres and only 100mm ceiling joists above. Does anyone know where i can get an extractor fan which can be mounted on the outside wall...clearly there is no room in the ceiling and putting an internal fan next to the shower cubicle will be ineffective as the clearance above the cubicle is only 45mm.

Not sure what you mean by "mounted on the outside wall", but isn't there any place in the shower room where you can mount the fan?

a picture paints a 1000 words ............

can you get an inline fan in and then run in square box above the shower?

Thanks for thr replies so far. Didn't explain clearly, this is a ground floor room with bedroom above, no room for boxing indoors.....by 'external' I meant mounted externally. So, probably will need to mount an inline fan within the brickwork and have a removable grill on the outside....would prefer an externally mounted 'sucking' fan.

Whatever fan you have - either internal or "external" is going to be a "sucking " fan. Since you realise that it will need to mounted within the brickwork what's the question ?
