Hi guys, I hope you can help, this is my first post here.
My shower takes a few seconds to heat up as you'd expect but then it will be hot for about 90 seconds, then cold for about 20. This process just keeps repeating in my experience but my girlfriend tells me that if you stay in there long enough, eventually it stays hot.
Pressure remains good. This problem doesn't occur anywhere else in the system.
Other than that, the shower is pretty good so I'm hoping it's a fairly easy fix. There's easy access to the rear of the shower via a panel in the next room, held in place by 4 philips screws.
I had a word with one of the guys in the plumming shop down the road and he said it wasn't necessarily the mixer and could be the filter (I think that's what he said). Is this something that's easy/cheap to replace?
I've created an album with some pics but here are some links to the original higher resolution images.

Any help is greatly appreciate... as a first time buyer I don't have a busting amount to spend on this type of work!
