Hey there,

We have just moved into a new house and was very disappointed to find that the water pressure in the shower (electric) is very low; it just seems to spray a mist, but the pressure in all of the taps is fine.

I was wondering; could this just be the head itself to change or a bigger job i.e. replacing the shower itself?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

How old is the shower? Do you get a lot of limescale in your area? What rating is the shower? What's the make/model of the shower?

Sounds like a flow restriction take the shower head off and see what the flowrates like when it's removed, the filter where the cold mains attaches needs checking as well. More than likely a build up of limescale.

Thanks guys I will give it a check later on.

the shower is an MX LXI, I've not seen any limescale but we have only been here for 3 days. I'm not certain how old the shower is either but it looks to be no more than a couple of years.
