I recently had a new shower pump fitted plus a larger hot water cylinder and a new bar mixer in my shower by a professional plumber. The system works great but every now and again the power pump starts up on its own for one second then stops. I have checked taps etc when this happens and none are leaking nor is anyone drawing hot water from the system. The frequency of this occurence is quite random, has anyone else experienced the same sort of problem. :?:

If it is a negative pressure shower pump then it is not unusual, but irritating. It is caused by a slight change of air pressure in the pipe to the shower mixer.

If it is a positive pressure pump, then sometimes the flow sensors can be adjusted, consult the instruction manual as types differ.
