Hi, this is my first time on the blog so please bare with me if I am not as clear as I should be.

I am moving house and wanted to freshen up the silicone sealant around the shower tray which was pretty straight forward and I have done this already.

My question is, can I apply another layer over the top of the silicone sealant I have just put down once it's dry just to make sure nothing gets through?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Can't see any reason why not. I did exactly the same about a year ago and so far no sign of water ingress etc. I ran a fine bead round the edge of the shower first, left it to cure, then applied a second, wider bead to finish.

That's great thanks! :D I will apply the 2nd layer tonight! Fingers crossed, just really para about leaks especially when I am selling don't want to leave a mess behind!
