I have a Skoda Octavia 54 2.0TDI AMBIENTE 140BHP 190k. i i'm a taxi driver and was driving one night when at the lights my car automatically switched off thought nothing off it i started it back up carried on driving as normal then couple of hours later it did the same. i took my car 2 skoda main dealers and told them my fault, they dianoised the problem and told me it was my regulator. i replaced it and was driving around the my car started to juda/shake/jerk in low speeds e.g. 1st or 3rd in 30mph or 40 in 40mph then turn off when either at lights of leaving stand still. i took it back to skoda they dianoised it again and told me its my glow plugs and a thermostat which will solve the problem. i did that and drove but same thing is still happening skoda say they dont know a diesal special couldn't find a fault.........does anyone know what it could be????? i have no lights showing.

I don't see how glow plugs would cause it to stall, unless one was missing or letting through.
Maybe worth taking it to a specialist diesel garage and get them to run tests on it, it might be something simple like a leak on the inlet manifold system which I'm led to believe they can do a smoke test for.

Taaklands, the faults you describe are typical of taxis, I wouldnt worry. I've seen much worse!
they said glow plugs 1,2,3 were faulty i changed them thought might as well. i have been advised it could be crank shaft sensor? really need help on what to do

ino doncaster very well and the taxis they are bery badly kept haha! but mine i keep in good condition and only buy TPS (main dealer) parts. any solutions to what 2do...........the car as been to a diesal specialist and they cant find a fault. was driving last nyt felt the jerks at the speed i've said but car switched off right at the end of the night??
car has been diagnosed several times skoda did 3 time a cleared three faults and gee diesals specialist did it aswell but no faults what machines skoda and gee diesals use i dont know. its all VW car eally just skoda badge.
