small outdoor pool / chilling bath...

hi all, last summer (in spain) i tried a temporary pool idea - dug a hole, sand, then plastic, a pipe for drain and refill, and then hosed in the water.

great.

this summer i want to do something cheap and more permanent.

not sure what to do; pvc, rubber, concrete? thinking pvc, then concrete around the top? i need to keep the pipe, as it leads to a tap where i can drain it.

here is a pic of how it looks after the winter destroyed it.

please help diy experts i am most grateful for this site.
