i seem to have an increasing in size patch of diesal spillage from my van on my tarmac drive witch i'd like to remove only have no idea what to use ! anyone help ?

Have ago with Gunk engine degreaser, it works on paving.
Cat litter is a good soaker as the degreaser will help lift the stain using both will be an ideal combo.
And if your are not 100% satisfied with the result, you could consider a coat of Watco Black Top, which will bring the surface up looking brand new again.
But you will need to clean the drive of as much grease/oil/dirt etc... before applying.

Gunk isn't suitable for tarmac, although some say it can be used diluted. Manufacturers instructions - not mine!
