Spray Paint or Hand Paint?

Hello All,

My wife bought a 1970's wrought iron furniture garden set that is in need of a little TLC.

I was wondering, what is the best to use:

Spray Paint or Hand Paint for garden furniture or doesn't it matter? I presume Spray paint is easier.

If you can paint using a brush then go for it, if it does prove difficult then spray it. I know some garden furniture can have a complex design to it which you will just end up with a load of runs if brushed on.

Spraying is only cheaper if you`ve got a compressor and gun If you have then spray Hammerite - warm it up to get it fluid enough
