I want to run a spur from the ringmain. The new spur will be directly behind a plug in another room. I could run the cable through the wall from the other plug to the spur. This maybe a daft question but how do I get the cable through from the backbox to the spur?
take off the existing socket. Being wary of damaging the wiring, knock out one of the "knock outs" in the back or side of the box, and drill through with a long series masonry drill. Fix your new spur and push the cable through the hole.
