Is there any compound (i.e.talc, ect) that can be put on wood joints (bed) to stop/reduce squeeking?

try tapping them into line but not too much or they wont fit over
or alternativly you could try a small wedge in the top lightly tapped home to tighten up[lolly stick may do ]
