We have a toilet with a push-button flush on the top of the cistern, with short and long flush options.

Not every time, but sometimes when it is flushed the popup button sticks half way and the flush water continues to flow into the bowl. We're on metered water, so I'd rather like to stop this occurring!

Can it be fixed by an adjustment, or is there a worn part which needs replacement, and if so, what is it?

The valve doesn't seem to be leaking when the popup button is raised all the way up, but it sometimes needs jiggling to get it to behave.
