Strange dissapearances

Has anyone noticed a lot of posts dissapearing over the last couple of days without any comment left by a mod or anything? I have posted several times and they have disappeared, has someone found a way to remove them apart from the mods?

any ideas whats going on mods?

if a post is deleted a mod cant leave a meassage since there is no where to leave the message as the original post has now gone

Several recently all the ones that have gone were here in General Discussion. some were light hearted comments and I just wondered if the mods had deleted them for offence or some reason although IMHO they wern't offensive in any way, just a bit of banterous humour maybe.
