Rishi Sunak is talking nonsense to win votes. The wars this country will continue to face are those already being acted out after 14 years of Tory governance. The warring factions in his own party; the war between opulence and poverty, the 1% club v the rest, the tyranny of the entitled over the rights of the masses; the war between corporate power and decent public services; the war between honesty and spin, morality and deceit. He and his party are responsible for these wars; and of course, he is resistant to a defence of the nation against the oppression he is a part of. He knows full well that the danger lies within.
