The annoying thing is that the previous owners had the feed pipe replaced (now 20mm plastic) which runs into my kitchen and then splits off via a dirty great big lead pipe running at the top of my kitchen wall into the neighbours house (I just replaced the last lead section in mine)! Also no stop cock on their side so if they want to isolate the water they need access into my kitchen! Why the previous owners didn't split the supply when they had the feed pipe replaced I really don't know. I assume that the new line runs along the side of the house which has now been built over (covered passageway) meaning my only realistic option if I want to split the supply via another feed is to use molling. From all of the suggestions/advice I have received on this thread, I think I may have to look at this option as it may be the best solution and be cheaper (I would do as much of the preparation as I could in terms of excavations at each end). Does anyone have a rough idea of how long an 8m "mole" would cost if as I said I did all of the preparation?
