Hi,

We have an old T&G (Pine?) ceiling in our lounge which I've grown rather fond of! - Sadly it was fitted many years ago and not too well at that. It's also been mahogany stained, so is very dark.

I'd like to replace it with another T&G ceiling, this time using a better quality 'lighter' shade of wood. Is this the sort of job that I'd be better calling in an experienced joiner to look at, or is it managable by an 'average' DIY'er? - Also where would I find suitable T&G for this sort of job? -The ceiling is approx. 6m x 3m.

Thanks for any help-would appreciate any advice.
