ok i have just got my new bath, on the tap connections its has what i think is 3/4" thread. Do i just need a standard tap connector for this, or should i be using a female tap connector? IS there any difference and if so how should i know when to use the correct one.

also well on the discussion of taps i have got a mono block mixer for my basin. the hot is being fed from a pump, and the cold from the mains. would it be wise to fit a check valve on both the supplys?n Also the mixer taps have flexi hoses fitted to them, with what i think is a 1/2" nut, i have tried connecting this to an isolation valve and it fits, would this be ok to use or do i need a different type of connector? thanks

either "ordinary" tap connectors or female connectors will do it is down to personal choice, i would sugest tap connectors as i find them easier, what you have suggested for the whb seems fine as well

if your doing in copper a tap connector/fibre washer.
screw the flexi straight on to the isolation valve.
fit a single check valve.
