Hello Newbie Here.

I am putting a new monoblock mixer tap in my kitchen, the old taptails are a different size to the ones needed to fit the tap I've bought. So I thought no probs I'll get some new ones. Only problem is the old tap tails have a threaded collar to fit to the water supply and all the new ones I can see are a compression fit.

Is there any way round this, anywhere I can get tap tails with a threaded collar?

Thanks Andy

Er, what exactly do you mean by threaded collar?

One end of the tap tail goes into the base of the tap, and has a rubber o ring. The other end has a threaded collar (on my current tap tails) - the new ones I've seen have a compression fit, where my old ones have the collar.

I hope that makes sense?

Did you get flexi pipe with your new taps. if so one end with o ring goes into tap comp end goes to pipe?

i think i know what u mean. one end to tap other end has a tap connector type end. if so just get a 15mm compresion coupler..remove one ends nut and olive and screw to tail...other end of coupler goes onto 15mm pipe
