)? To the OP, as Going Digital has said the most likely cause if pin 3 IS connected is 2 & 5 are reversed, if you are sure 3 IS connected try reversing the wires that go to 2 & 5. If you have BB(which IS a valid question) the you can forget about pin 3 anyway as a SIN complient filter(NOT all are so check!) does not need pin 3, it's inbuilt capacitor generates the ring voltage locally. So, either reverse 2 & 5 or remove pin 3 and plug in a SIN complient filter. If still no ring then plug the phone into the master socket to verify it works!
