Hi,

We have a 8x5ft dry store/work room attached to the end of the external garage thats lined with plasterboard with some insulation behind it, but it can still feel cold and takes a lot to heat it up.

Have seen mention of WallRocks Thermal liners which they say helps the room heat up quicker as well as retaining the heat, but it can cost £40 or £99 a roll ! with equally expensive adhesive.

Does anyone have experience of Wallrock or has used any other similar method / wallpapers ?

Was wondering about using some of the 6mm or 9mm polystyrene sheets you can get from B&Q which should be ok for a non domestic space ?

I'd use proper insulation boards, Kingspan etc. Floor and ceiling will loose a lot of heat too, and it will always take a bit longer to warm up a room that is only heated now and then, as you will need to dry it out more before it can be heated .

Wall insulation is typically 50mm to 100mm thick.

Ask yourself how effective a wallpaper-like coating will be.
