I have a Tivoli II shower (pictured) and water is leaking through the shower head, despite the shower being firmly turned in the off position.

I would like to deal with this asap before it gets worse so all assistance appreciated :).

Is there simply a washer which needs to be replaced? Or does the entire unit need replacing?

If the latter, is there any unit which matches the pipe positioning of this one, as it has always been VERY stiff to turn on/off...

All replies much appreciated :).

hi solution is take the cartridge out then you need to make sure there is no gunge in the cartridge and you should loose of the nut at the very back of the cartridge and clean with 50% water and white vinegar for around 4 hours or so steeping the whole cartridge. to stop leak i have learned that you need to use a thickish smear of silicone lubricant as this applied only to the washers on the cartridge makes a proper seal and prevents any water forcing by the washers alone. the key is in the silicone smear which also stops drips and keeps the seals moist lasting longer. i called bristan customer service to find out this info so far so good
