I'm replacing the plumbing in my kitchen (1904 tenement).
Currently the sink has a 32mm P trap running in to a plastic pipe, which in turn connects to the original lead trap before exiting into the original waste (which looks to be about 3.5inch diameter iron).
So I have two traps between sink and waste stack. This arrangement doesn't appear to cause any problems.
My planned replacement plumbing will have two sinks (each with their own 32mm traps) and a washing machine and dishwasher (each with their own standpipes) running into the stack.
Do I need to have the second trap at the stack connection, or can I get rid of it and just pipe directly?
