I've read somewhere that a TRV fitted at the wrong end of a rad can make it noisy?????
I have a rad in the bedroom which has started making a deep metallic clunk. There is a rapid burst of these clunks when the radiator very first kicks in (long before it could be effected by expansion due to heat)
Also when the TRV is half open it makes a hissing sound.
My question is, How do you know the TRV is fitted on the wrong end????
It is the only rad in the house that has the TRV on the right side of the radiator as you look at it?
