Hi Guys - I am just trying to resolve an issue with my bathroom.

I have bought a basin and vanity unit with a single tap hole and therfore need to get a mixer tap. The hot is low pressure (has 6m of head) and the cold off the mains (3bar). I initialy bought a a lever mixer tap. I have not installed this yet but understand it might not work properly due to pressure inbalance?

Is the easiest way to slow this to get a mixer with individual controls for hot and cold?

If so what about this one:

Appreciate any views.

Cheers

James

You would need a mixer with a dual spout, i.e. where the hot and cold water don't meet until they are out of the tap.
The one in your link, I suspect, is not. Not many are, nowadays, although there are still a few sink mixers that are.

does it make a diffrence if the mixer is lever controlled Vs indepnednt hot and cold controls?
