When my door is Locked I can remove the keys immediately after it lock (no further turning needed) but when I unlock the door the keys won't come out, they don't turn far enough clockwise?

As you can probably tell I'm not good at explainin stuff!

Any help guys would be greatly appreciated as I can't have the door open without keys in it

Sound like the barrel has failed, quite a common complaint this is.

To measure for a new barrel take a look at this.......

http://www.locksonline.co.uk/resources/cylinder/Equal-Cylinder-Measure.gif

Measure from the centre screw located on the side of the door where the locking mechanism is outwards each way, it won't nesseserally be equal on both sides, depends if the locking mech runs in the centre of the door.

You'll probably get a size like 35mm/45mm or 35mm/50mm or 40mm/50mm.

OR you could remove the barrel by taking out the said screw and with the key inserted turn it to roughly 11 o'clock or 1 o'clock and slide the barrel out, if its tight it may help if you loosen the handles too.
