Read through all the UPVC posts but this looks different. I've a 30's pitched roof, tiled and unfelted. Rafter ends are exposed at the eaves, and the fascias need replacing (see the pic). I'd like to use UPVC fascias (a shame I know) but the local UPVC guys recommend putting sarking felt under the first row of tiles. Surely on an unfelted roof this may trap water?
As a newbie I assume that the rafter ends could be sealed with mastic, and the UPVC fascia fixed to cover the rafter ends completely, with the lowest point being the drip cill on that fascia.
Does this make sense? Would appreciate advice - just trying to get it right.
