Hi all, a colleague has been looking into getting a new front door and suggested that he has been advised to get a composite door rather than UPVC.

Cans someone please explain the difference?

Thank you.

Composite is slightly dearer but more hardwearing and looks better, upvc doors are so last year. Composite all the way

I still dont know the difference, is composite plastic as well? My neighbour has a upvc door but the inside is wood, is this normal?

Composite is normally grp/fibreglass upvc is upvc never seen a upvc with wood inside

I think MIllermans neighbour may have a cheap UPVC door lol.

Thanks for clearing that up, re my neighbours door, its from Wicks, it is wooden but clad in upvc, looks good but keeps sticking due to wood swelling, gonna avoid that one for sure.
